In the summer of 1996, Don Mischer Productions created and produced the Opening Ceremonies of the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. More than three years in the making, the opening ceremonies celebrated the American South, the tradition of the Olympic Games and the ideals of the Olympic movement, culminating with the emotional lighting of the Olympic Cauldron by Muhammad Ali.
